Managing Director and Aviation Advisor
Adam is a qualified Commercial Pilot and Flight Instructor with a 20 year international career that encompasses charter, low level geophysical survey as well as agricultural and fire aviation operations, with experience in over 40 different aircraft types ranging from multi engine and turbine aircraft to gliders and sport aeroplanes.
As a certified ISO 9001:2000 lead auditor Adam has conducted over 190 aviation audits worldwide ranging from national flag carriers to small fixed and rotary wing charter operators as well as offshore helidecks and land based fixed wing and helicopter landing areas. Adam is also a Flight Safety Foundation BARS qualified auditor.
Adam’s regulatory experience includes the development and implementation of corporate aviation standards, operations manuals, safety management system reviews including risk assessment, management and mitigation in the aviation environment as well as holding Chief Pilot and training positions in both the government and private sector.
Adam lives in Perth, Western Australia and in his spare time enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and four children as well flying his 1959 Cessna taildragger aircraft for purely pleasure.
Simon Carter Aviation Advisor and Company Quality Manager
Simon has been involved in commercial aviation for 25 years, 22 of which were spent flying low and high capacity aircraft. During this time he flew the British Aerospace 146 for Qantas Link and Cobham Australia over a span of 14 years.
Simon has held Civil Aviation Safety Authority approvals for Chief Pilot, Maintenance Controller and Emergency Procedures proficiency testing of aircrew and cabin crew.
His last position before joining Air Safety Navigators was as the Flight Safety Officer and Deputy Safety, Health, Environment and Quality manager for one of Australia’s largest operators of Turbo prop aircraft.
As a Certified RABQSA Lead Auditor, Simon performed in house safety/risk assessments and compliance audits of the flight operations and engineering departments and also auditing of external providers.
Simon is a keen promoter of Safety Management Systems and the benefits that a healthy reporting system can bring to a company not only in the area of safety, but also productivity.
